GRWM As I Change Your HVAC Filter
This might be one of the most commonly asked questions we get.
Right up there with:
“Why are these blogs so amazing?”
and
“What creative GENIUS is running your SEO?!”
Anyway.
Changing your HVAC filter is ridiculously easy.
Which is probably why everyone forgets to do it.
So here we are.
Today’s story is about Client Bob.
Before we begin, a quick note for our legal team:
Please unclench.
Bob is not real.
And this story is completely fictional.
Please refrain from sending us another 7-paragraph email about brand liability, defamation, and tone alignment concerns.
We are literally talking about air filters.
Anyway, Client Bob.
Bob just rang us in utter disarray.
The airflow coming from the vents felt weaker, and his allergies were acting up.
Naturally, Bob assumed he needed an entirely new HVAC system.
He didn’t; he just hadn’t changed his filters in about a year.
Instead of the recommended 1-3 months, which would’ve improved his:
airflow
indoor air quality
electric bill
the overall lifespan of his system
Probably.
But hold on, Bob. Before you run off to buy a new one, as HVAC techs and insecure men everywhere will tell you… size matters.
Please.
Your filter size is usually printed on the edge.
Something like:
16x20x1
20x25x1
etc.
Once you have the size, you can grab a replacement pretty much anywhere:
Home Depot
Lowe’s
Walmart
Amazon
Ace Hardware
And Bob, if you can’t remember the last time you changed it, it’s time to change it!
